August 2025

I asked my colleague recently, ‘how do you think you become an industry leader?’ and the answer was mainly about consistency and reliability. Interestingly, he also said that he had heard many companies say that maintaining a small business mindset, including agile decision making and customer focus, were critical. This is very true for all companies we feature in August.

Green’s Radiator Service has been delivering consistent quality for customers for more than 100 years. Founded in 1921, now in fourth generation Green family ownership, Director Bradley Green explains that focus on quality and delivery for clients has always been paramount and will continue.

To lock in its position at the front of the QSR hospitality space, Doppio Zero has built rock solid relationships with suppliers that allow the company to grow across the country. These partnerships are key in Doppio’s ability to be consistent and therefore reliable.

Howden Projects, a leader in heavy industry engineering, includes its supply chain as part of its own identity. That is how obsessed the company is with standards of excellence. Collaboration with partners goes back decades, and this allows for quick decisions and an unwavering commitment to the needs of the customer.

For Rossmin, a leading limestone mining operating on KZN, ongoing supplies of high-quality products delight clients all over the country, and so the company is opening new sales sites in Cape Town and Johannesburg. Consistency, reliability, and a focus on the small things are all part of a strategy that has seen y-o-y growth achieved.

I’ll ask colleagues for further insight into what makes a truly inspirational company and see if their ideas match up.
